- Closures: While we try to alert members in a timely manner of pool schedule changes, sometimes the pool schedule is subject to change without notice.
- Thunder & Lightening Policies: The pool will close for 30 minutes from the last sound or sighting of thunder or lightning. In the event the Y is closed for a number of days due to weather or a power outage, it may take us a few days to get the pool up and running again to a safe, acceptable level for use.
- Scheduled Cleaning & Maintenance: The whirlpool will be closed on the first and third Sunday of each month for cleaning. The whirlpool will close at 3:00PM and is scheduled to reopen the next day.
Please note there is a 5 minute merge time before and after classes for swimmers and class members.
This is for members with the intent to swim continuous laps. Lifeguards will ask swimmers to move to appropriate lanes if necessary. Lap swim is for ages 16 and over. Circle swim will be required if there are more swimmers than lanes. Each swimmer must move to the appropriate lane based on their speed.
Lanes that are not occupied by teams or classes are available for lap swim and or open swim as listed on the pool schedule.
Pool is open for all to enjoy. Children under 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age in the water at all times. This lifeguard-supervised time is for families to use the pool for swimming and free time. Floaties, Swimmies, balls and rafts are prohibited during this time.
To swim in the deep water during open swim children must be able to swim one length of the pool (25 meters), on front or back, turn from front to back and float or tread water for 30 seconds. Lifeguards may ask children to move to shallow water for their safety.
